Η ανάβαση Αχλαδόκαμπου είναι μια ανάβαση που όλοι οι οδηγοί αγώνων θαυμάζουν. Μια πολύ γρήγορη διαδρομή, με καινούρια άσφαλτο και πολλά χιλιόμετρα αλλά και τεχνικά κομμάτια. Ο δρόμος δίνει τη δυνατότητα στον διοργανωτή να διαλέξει όποιο θέλει από τα 3-4 layouts που έχουν γίνει μεχρι και φέτος.
Achladokampos hillclimb is driver's favourite race. A very fast long route, with new asphalt and technical sections. The road allows the organizer to choose different layouts which is a challenge for all the participants.

This year the organizer surprised us. He chose a new layout for the hillclimb which adds a new route to the older known layouts we have already raced Read about the experience we had with the previous layout here.
After finishing our last 3 races at Pitisa hillclimb, Tsakona hillclimb and Dimitsana hillclimb we prepared our car for our last race of the season. The weather was good but Achladokampos hillclimb has many tricky sections which remain wet even after midday.
Our experience from Pitsitsa and Tsakona hillclimb where the weather was about the same but colder I prepared myself for a cautious race with my favourite NanKang AR-1. Finally we decided to try the Pirelli DM we have from our day one of racing, and it was good!
On Saturday i started with a test pass on the route in order to check that the car and the tyres are good. On the 2nd pass the weather was better so i tried to push a bit more in order to prepare my driving for the race.
On Sunday i was in a good mood. I studied my incar video for the test pases and i had a plan for my driving. After the first pass of the race i managed to do the fastest time for my class!
For the send pass my goal was to drive exactly the same in order to bring a better result becase the weather and the road was better. At the start i had a good pace the time was greatly improved but nearly at the end of the route i did a mistake that cost a lot of time.
It was the first time that I had a good pace at Achladokampos hillclimb. I was happy that everyone congratulated me about my driving. My goal is to improve race after race and this year I did huge step towards this road.
