Every rally of the World Rally Championship is different. Almost every year we see changes in special stages and itineraries that give the championship a special interest and a special glamour.
This year, the EKO Acropolis Rally was one of these rallies. As in the previous years the centre of the rally was Lamia but this year it was also the start and finish location of the rally. Drivers and spectators alike enjoyed a tough, tight and unpredictable race.

This year the group started from Tripoli on Thursday at 15:30 and returned full of new experiences on Sunday at 20:00! Planning in the days leading up to the rally was a difficult exercise especially for those of us who would be following all the days.
On Thursday night we stayed overnight in Pavliani as we didn't like the access to the start of Daphne and Marmara turned out to be too far away. Friday we enjoyed Pavliani from 2 different spots, the most impressive being the spot at the finish with the downhill section leading to the last hairpin on the special.
On Saturday we decided to follow the rally closely. Friday night, we slept at Reggini stage close to the finish. We started with Reggini seeing 12-15 cars, we left for Thiva on the access near the hospital seeing about the same cars. We left for Agioi Theodoroi 2, after a short stop as we visited the Tyre Fitting Zone where we had a chance to see all the cars and drivers up close. Saturday evening we went at Regini where we ate at the tavern and listened to 'The Reginia' local band.
Late in the evening we reached Eleftherochori at the access of Mendenitsa. Eleftherochori is a great Power Stage where the drivers are extremely spectacular.

Ένας ξεχωριστός αγώνας αποτελεί παρελθόν. Ο ξεχωριστός σχεδιασμός του έβαλε δύσκολα στα πληρώματα αλλά και σε θεατές ειδικά αυτούς που ήθελαν να το ακολουθήσουν όλες τις μέρες. Μια εμπειρία που θα μας μείνει αξέχαστη. Εν αναμονή του επόμενου EKO Ράλλυ Ακρόπολις στα τέλη Ιουνίου!
This special rally is now a special memory. Its unique design made it difficult for the crews and spectators especially those who wanted to follow the rally all 3 days. An unforgettable experience.
